Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Jeremy Colburn graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School and earned a degree in Building Science from Auburn University in 2004. He worked at Robins and Morton from 2004 to 2018, excelling as a Sr. Project Manager in divisions such as healthcare, commercial, and concrete. His notable projects include Champions Place Condos in Tuscaloosa ($12M), BioCryst Pharmaceutical Laboratory in Hoover ($6.2M), and Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in North Carolina ($49M), among others. Since joining Elite Building in 2018, Jeremy has overseen projects like Camellia Place Condos ($8.5M) and Walk of Tuscaloosa ($26M), contributing significantly to Tuscaloosa’s commercial landscape.
Kenny V. Short serves as the Managing Member of Elite Construction, LLC and Champions Place, LLC, overseeing land acquisition, construction, financing, and development. With a Master’s Degree in mathematics from Troy University, Kenny taught in the Chilton County school system for thirteen years and at the college level for eleven years. He has been in the construction and development industry since 1988.
Notable developments led by Kenny include The Chimes Condominiums ($30M), The Crimson Commons Condominiums ($14M), and Shoppes at Legacy Park ($47.5M) in Tuscaloosa. As a general contractor, he has completed projects such as West End Baptist Church ($5.5M) and Phase II of the Village at Lee Branch ($5M). His extensive experience spans residential, commercial, and educational facilities across Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
